The Science and Technology Division of DMU was conferred the Advanced Team of Higher Institution scientific research management by the Science and Technology Department of Ministry of Education in the 2006 Chinese Higher Institution Science and Technology Working Conference finished a few days earlier. And the Vice Division, Li Yang, was awarded the title “Advanced Individual of Higher Institution scientific research management”. Another Vice Division, Wang Xinming, attended the conference.  　

This conference was held from the 29th to the 31st in March in Guiyang. The conference mainly reviewed and summarized the high-tech science and technology working during the period of “Tenth Five-year”, analyzed and researched the new situation and new tasks of technology innovation in higher institutions. The conference also disposed higher institution science and technology working in 2006 and cited the advanced team and individual of science and technology management in Chinese regular higher institutions in 2005. Xie Huanzhong, the Director-General of Science and Technology Department of Ministry of Education, had a report on “Implement the spirit of science and technology conference deeply, summarize science and technology working in higher institutions during the period of ‘Tenth Five-Year’, carry forward the science and technology development in higher institutions during the period of ‘Eleventh Five-Year’”. Nearly 400 representatives from 161 higher institutions attended the conference.
