October 19th, Vice-President Sun Yuqing had a meeting with delegates from SpecTec, including CEO Mr. Giampiero Soncini, Chief Representative of Shanghai Office Mr. Lian Deliang, and customer representatives of Dalian Office.
Vice-President Sun Yuqing extended his warmest welcome to the guests. He said that DMU has always been in the forefront in maritime education. DMU has known and used the products of SpecTec ever since 2000, when SpecTec first sponsored sample software to DMU. Vice-President Sun hoped that SpecTec will take the visit as the opportunity to sponsor full version of its software. Additionally, the two parties also mentioned the potential of setting up SpecTec scholarship at DMU, which Mr. Giampiero Soncini showed great interest.
Mr. Giampiero Soncini introduced SpecTec, focusing on the important role SpecTec software plays in the daily management of shipping industry. He also mentioned that SpecTec provides the largest, most widely used, and most advanced maritime management software system. After the meeting, the guests had detailed discussion with leaders from DMU’s related offices on the potential cooperation.
