Guests from Dares Salaam Maritime Institute, Tanzania Visited DMU

On the morning of October 31st, guests from Dares Salaam Maritime Institute (DMI), Tanzania visited DMU.

Vice-President Sun Yuqing had a meeting with the guests. He extended his warmest welcome to the guests and his gratitude for the hospitality he received on his September trip to Tanzania. Vice-President Sun introduced the schedule for the guests, which will enable the guests to familiarize themselves with the culture, education and research as well as shipping industry of China.

      Based on the early MoU of the two parties, Vice-President Sun Yuqing proposed the five issues of the discussion, which will be the focus of the coming cooperation. The five issues cover the working plan of the coming year, DMI’s faculty training program at DMU, DMU’s faculty working at DMI, DMU’s assistance to DMI’s teaching facilities and enlisting the cooperation program into the government program. Afterwards, on behalf of all the guests, Ms Lucy Kachele from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development, Tanzania extended her appreciation for DMU’s hospitality and DMU’s kind assistance in DMI’s construction and development.
