On the morning of September 7^th, the unveiling ceremony of DMU’s MPA practice base was held at Port and Waterway Bureau, Communications Department of Shandong Province.

　Vice-President Sun Peiting, DMU extended his heartfelt congratulations to the establishment of the practice base on behalf of Dalian Maritime University. He also expressed his gratitude for the support from the Ministry of Communications, Communications Department of Shaodong Province, and the Port and Waterway Bureau. He said that the MPA program at DMU has been developing rapidly. The establishment of MPA practice base is of great significance in strengthening the relations between DMU and official communications offices and in pushing forward the combination of public management theory and social practice. The establishment of the base is a new attempt in DMU’s MPA program, which aims to better the training of public management talents, and to accelerate the development of transportation and maritime industry.

Communications Department of Shandong Province and DMU reached the cooperation agreement on the education and training of high-level comprehensive management talents. The MPA Shandong class is a significant step in the strategic cooperation, which will push forward the development of shipping industry in Shandong.
