From September 12th to 15th, President Wang Zuwen visited Istanbul Technical University in response to the invitation. Director Xu Bin, International Cooperation and Exchange Office, DMU also joined the visit.
The two parties conducted discussion on the cooperation in maritime education and training and reached cooperation intention to sign the cooperation agreement during the AGA8 of IAMU, in Odessa.
During the visit, President Wang attended the semester-beginning ceremony and delivered a speech. He said that ITU is a renowned university with more than 230 years’ history. The university has educated numerous talented people for Turkey, and made great contribution to the economic development of Turkey. ITU and DMU share many similarities, and are both important members of IAMU. President Wang hoped that the cooperation between the two universities will further enhance the friendship and promote the academic exchange. President Wang also extended his gratitude for ITU’s invitation and sincerely invited ITU staff to cooperation programs at DMU. President Wang ended his speech with his wishes to ITU students and the university.
