Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Sino-Russia Navigation Institution Camp Held in Vladivostok, Russia

On the afternoon of August 2nd, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Sino-Russia Navigation Institution Camp was held in Vladivostok, Russia. 102 Chinese delegation members from five universities, namely Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, Wuhan University of Technology, Jimei University, and Qingdao Ocean Shipping Mariners Colleges, participated in the ceremony, together with delegates from 13 Russian universities.

Leaders from MoC, PRC and the Ministry of Transportation, Russia also attended the ceremony. Deputy Director-General Li Zuping delivered a speech. She hoped that the Camp will push forward the cooperation and exchange between the maritime institutions in China and Russia, strengthen the communication between the young students of the two nations, deepen the friendship between the two peoples, and contribute to the development of shipping industry of the two countries.

The Camp will last for six days. As an important event in Russia’s ‘2007 China Year’ and the continuity of the 1st Camp last year, the Camp this year aims to push forward to the cooperation and exchange between maritime institutions of the two countries, and the development of the transportation and communication industry of the two nations. During the camp, the students will participate in various activities, such as Sino-Russia Navigation Culture Exchange, Survival Show, Games, and discussion etc.
