On the morning of September 1^st, the graduation ceremony of the second graduation class of Msc program on “Maritime Safety and Environmental Management” (MSEM) co-initiated by World Maritime University (WMU) and Dalian Maritime University (DMU) was held at Zhongyuan Hall, DMU. Presented in the ceremony are Dr. Laubstein, President of WMU, Dr. Wang Zuwen, President of DMU, and leaders from the Ministry of Communications.

President Wang Zuwen first extended his congratulations to the 42 graduates on behalf of DMU and welcome to all the participants. He pointed out that, two years ago, World Maritime University and Dalian Maritime University together recognized the great potential of the maritime industry and its development in the Asia Pacific region. We understood that there would be an urgent demand for high-level maritime professionals, and so we developed this program “Graduates Program of Maritime Safety and Environmental Management”, which enjoys the advantage of sharing mutual resources and develops high-quality, high-level maritime experts. It has been shown that the students graduating from our university have a deep knowledge of their field and are well qualified to satisfy future maritime demands and their social responsibilities. This has been possible because of the quality of the courses and the strength of the faculty.
